This dish combines spicy Cajun sausages, tangy sauerkraut, sweet baked butternut squash, and savory sautéed zucchini, creating a meal that’s both hearty and satisfying. Inspiration Behind the Dish As a gardener and cook, I often create meals using seasonal produce from our garden and staples from the pantry. Sometimes, I find inspiration from delicious finds at the store, like today’s Cajun sausages from Walmart. I was in the mood for something that would wake up my taste buds and remembered the sauerkraut in my cupboard. The idea of pairing it with sausages sounded perfect, and thus, this recipe was born!
